End the senseless wars and support our veterans

Recently, the US has attacked multiple sovereign nations, kidnapped foreign leaders, blockaded nations and involved itself in conflicts across the globe. American foreign policy has caused unnecessary deaths and displacement in Iraq, Palestein, Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, and Yemen Instead of spending American taxpayer dollars on helping the American people, we spend them on funding a military budget so big it encompasses 40% of global military spending - more than the next several countries combined, and now United States military spending is now on track to exceed 900 billion dollars

If we can spend nearly a trillion dollars a year on the military, we can fully fund mental health services, eliminate veteran homelessness, and ensure every returning service member has immediate access to high-quality care.

Today, too many veterans face PTSD, depression, suicide risk, and homelessness. On a single night in 2024, 32,882 veterans were experiencing homelessness in the U.S., including 13,851 living in unsheltered conditions. In 2023 there were 6,398 veteran suicides, averaging about 17.5 per day

Before we commit another generation to foreign conflicts, we must commit—fully and unequivocally—to caring for the ones we’ve already sent to war.

As a Marine veteran, Drew Cox will vote against authorizing any more needless, illegal wars and will fight to reign in the unilateral military action of the executive branch. He will fight to redirect significant portions of our military budget to social services, infrastructure and the repaying of our national debt. Crucially, he will also fight to make sure that the veterans we have sent abroad to fight are supported and cared for by a well funded VA.
