Humane Foreign Policy
While Americans go bankrupt from rising costs of living, exorbitant healthcare, and ever increasing housing. The US government is actively providing approximately $3.8 in annual military aid to Israel. Since the October 7, 2023, attack the U.S has significantly increased support. Sending over $17.9 billion in military aid in one year alone. With the approval of funding from the United States Congress (using your taxpayer money), the state of Israel is carrying out genocide against the Palestinian people. Families have been separated, countless children have been killed, civilian infrastructure has been targeted, and survivors are being starved. More journalists have been killed in Gaza than in any other conflict zone in modern history, with over 75% of all journalists killed in 2023 being Palestinian. 94% of Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure has been leveled, and 90% of Gaza’s population is now homeless, with 1.5 million people in need of urgent emergency housing.
There is never any justification for genocide. Too many of our elected leaders have failed to recognize this moral truth, instead attempting to hide their culpability by obfuscating the moral reality of the situation. Drew Cox, on the other hand, takes a very clear and principled stand on this matter: not a single cent, or a single weapon, whether offensive or “defensive”, should be sent from the United States to Israel. The United States should stop protecting Israel in the UN and shielding Israel and its leaders from international justice. All necessary measures, up to an including military intervention, should be taken to end the genocide in Gaza. Drew will stand unwaveringly on these positions when he is in congress, and he is starting now by refusing to take any money from AIPAC.
