Regulation of Data centers

AI data centers are the most present threat to resource security in the United States. AI data centers use upwards of 5 million gallons of water per day, or about as much water as a town of 50,000.  AI data centers use 17 gigawatts (GW) of electricity per hour, which is roughly equal to powering a city of 9-12 million people. Data centers not only affect the environment and deplete American resources, research finds that in areas near data center activity, electrical bills are found to have increased by as much as 267% within the last 5 years.

Drew Cox will fight to implement a federal moratorium on AI data centers, as well as regulation requiring that all data centers use green energy to power their activities. Finally, he will fight to prevent mass layoffs from automation, ensuring that whatever advancements are made in AI assist humans rather than replacing them.
